What are Powder brows?

Powder brows involve shading in the eyebrows with pigment. Powder brows is the latest trend in PMU. But the name says it all; “powder. With this technique of permanent makeup, pigment is applied with a PMU device in a very subtle way. This makes it look like you have colored your eyebrows with eyebrow powder. Only the result is semi permanent. This means that after about 1.5 years you have to give your eyebrows a touch-up. This way you will enjoy your beautiful eyebrows longer.

What does a Powder brows treatment look like?

This technique is applied with a PMU device. The pigments are placed into the dermis with a needle/hygiene module. This looks like tattooing but in the PMU world we call it pigmentation. With the PMU device, a soft powder effect can be created.

How long does a Powder brows treatment take?

On average, the permanent make up treatment at Powder brows takes 2 hours. During the intake I would like to know what your wishes and expectations are. Initially I will draw the eyebrows to the shape of your face. With this we will of course take into account your wishes. How long do Powder brows last?

Is the Powder brow treatment painful?

A powder brows treatment is not completely painless. Often our clients compare it to the same feeling as epilating. Where epilation is perceived as more painful.

Powder brows during pregnancy

During pregnancy, it is not possible to perform powder brows treatment. This is because there is a risk of inflammation during the treatment. Because you may not take all anti-biotics during pregnancy, no treatment may be performed.

How do powder brows heal?

After the powder brows treatment, the pigment has just been set into the skin. Your skin now begins the healing process. You can compare this to an abrasion on your knee. This may cause scabs to form. The pigment is no longer as visible as it was immediately after treatment. This is because the skin does not recognize the pigment as the body’s own substance. As a result, some of the pigment is shed. Because the skin needs time to recover you come back after about 6 weeks for a follow-up treatment.

Aftertreatment

During the post-treatment, we will review how the result has healed. We will perform another treatment so that the pigment is better recognized by the skin. The final result will be about 60% lighter than immediately after the treatment. So you will have a natural powder effect that will last about 1.5 years.
